Moroccan public financing institution Tamwilcom has announced the launch of its new “Startup Venture Building” programme, a MAD 700 million ($69 million) initiative designed to support 800 startups over the next three years.
The programme introduces a structured venture-building model that combines financial assistance with hands-on operational support, helping founders move from ideation to full market expansion.
End-to-End Startup Support
Unlike traditional funding initiatives, this programme focuses on comprehensive, continuous support throughout the startup journey. Selected founders will receive monthly stipends, access to prototype development funding, and financial instruments such as loans of up to MAD 2 million.
The aim is to reduce early-stage barriers and provide startups with the resources needed to build sustainable, scalable businesses.
Strong Focus on Market Access and Growth
A key feature of the initiative is its emphasis on market access. Tamwilcom plans to connect startups with established corporate partners to help them secure early commercial contracts, generate revenue faster, and accelerate growth.
This approach is designed to bridge the gap between innovation and real-world business opportunities, ensuring startups move beyond development into active market participation.
Strategic Partnerships with Global and Local Ecosystem Players
To strengthen execution, Tamwilcom has partnered with leading ecosystem organizations including Technopark, CEED Maroc, Flat6Labs, and 500 Global.
This blend of local expertise and global venture-building experience is expected to create a more integrated and effective support system for founders across Morocco.
Strengthening Morocco’s Startup Ecosystem
The initiative reflects Morocco’s broader ambition to develop a strong, competitive startup ecosystem and position the country as a leading innovation hub in Africa.
By combining funding, mentorship, and market access, Tamwilcom aims to build a robust pipeline of high-growth startups capable of scaling both locally and internationally.
