Dubai-based artificial intelligence startup Angelic Intelligence, founded by entrepreneur and inventor Shekhar Natarajan, has raised $15 million in seed funding as it prepares for global expansion, with the Middle East identified as a strategic growth market.
The company develops an enterprise AI platform that helps organizations integrate artificial intelligence into existing systems while ensuring that automated decision-making aligns with operational priorities, governance standards, and stakeholder expectations.
Natarajan emphasized that the next phase of AI adoption in enterprises will focus on trust and responsible deployment, alongside technical performance. “The first wave of AI focused on performance and automation. The next phase will be driven by trust, responsible deployment, and enterprise alignment,” he said.
Enterprise Deployments and Pilot Programs
Angelic Intelligence’s platform is already running in two production environments, including a global nonprofit marketplace and workforce planning systems for retail and restaurant operators. Additionally, more than ten pilot deployments are underway across sectors such as logistics, healthcare, and workforce management.
Early adopters include enterprise software firm Orchestro.ai, also founded by Natarajan. While Angelic Intelligence operates independently, it is available to enterprises, governments, and institutions worldwide.
Middle East as a Key Growth Market
The Gulf region is a strategic focus for expansion, driven by government initiatives to accelerate AI adoption as part of economic diversification and digital transformation strategies. Analysts note that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are expanding national AI strategies, funding programs, and public-private partnerships to establish the region as a global technology hub.
Natarajan said the combination of growing enterprise adoption and regional policy emphasis on responsible AI makes the Middle East attractive for emerging platforms focused on governance and reliability. While the startup has not yet established a legal entity in the region, discussions and exploratory initiatives are already underway following inbound interest from GCC organizations.
Positioning in the Enterprise AI Ecosystem
Rather than competing directly with major AI model developers, Angelic Intelligence positions its platform as an integration layer that connects with existing enterprise systems through a plug-and-play architecture. The platform uses a token-based usage model, allowing organizations to scale deployments according to operational demand.
Designed to tackle challenges such as decision transparency, cultural context, and operational alignment, the platform addresses barriers increasingly cited by enterprises as obstacles to large-scale AI adoption.
Global Launch and Future Outlook
Following the funding round and ongoing pilots, Angelic Intelligence is gearing up for its official global launch on April 15. Natarajan, who holds over 207 patents, expects demand for governance-focused AI infrastructure to rise as organizations shift from experimentation to full production deployment.
“As AI becomes embedded in core business operations, adoption will increasingly depend on confidence, accountability, and measurable impact,” Natarajan said.
With a focus on responsible AI and enterprise integration, Angelic Intelligence is positioning itself at the forefront of the next wave of AI adoption, providing organizations with the tools to scale AI confidently and ethically.
